The purpose of GOCC’s TRiO Student Support Services program is to provide support to you throughout your college career. This means that SSS can only be successful with a full commitment from you. As a current SSS participant, you will be expected to:
- Have at least five contacts with Program Staff, including at least two appointments in-office, per semester
- Be proactive and ask for help when needed
- Maintain regular contact with GOCC’s SSS staff and keep them accurately informed about your academic status
The foundation of the TRiO Student Support Services Program rests on the ongoing contact between students and staff and the supportive relationship that results from that contact.
